Market circuit breaker mechanism:
- Primary market circuit breaker: If the market falls by 7%, trading will be suspended for 15 minutes (between 9:30-15:25), otherwise it will not be suspended.
- Secondary market circuit breaker: If the market falls by 13%, trading will be suspended for 15 minutes (between 9:30-15:25), otherwise it will not be suspended.
- Third level market circuit breaker: The market falls by 20%, and trading is stopped throughout the day until the opening of the next trading day.
Suspension trading mechanism for individual stocks:
- Suspension of price fluctuation: If the price fluctuation of a stock touches the limit, trading will be suspended for 5 minutes during the period of 9:45-15:35 Eastern Time (inclusive); trading will not be suspended after 15:35. However, if the trading day is half a day, the time cutoff point will be adjusted to 12:35.
