When are Hong Kong stocks traded?

The Hong Kong stock market usually trades from Monday to Friday, and the trading hours are divided into the following periods:

• Full-day trading:

  • Morning market: 09:30 - 12:00
  • Lunch: 13:00 - 16:00

• Half-day trading:

  • 12:00 - 12:08 and 12:10 - 12:30 (specific time slots depend on daily arrangements)

• Bidding period:

  • Pre-market hours: 09:00 - 09:30
  • Closing auction trading session: Random closing between 16:00 - 16:08 and 16:10

Note: There are no morning and afternoon trading on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and Lunar New Year’s Eve. Typhoons or black rainstorms may affect trading.
